Restart
So I've been terrible and haven't written at all lately. But as my Oma describes it, I've been desperately in love! Brian is the best man in the world. He's my best friend and love. More about him later.
It is so much work to plan a wedding. I've got everything lined out but I'm still feeling overwhelmed. Every day is packed to the gills. I've delegated quite a bit, but overseeing it all is getting to me. That's the glass half empty.
The good news is I've got a wonderful wedding in my future! It is going to be so gorgeous! Since the wedding is in November, I chose a theme of maple leaves and pearls, with the colors of wine and silver. Brian's mom is making the bridesmaid dresses. And then there is MY dress! I stopped by a local formal store to look into bridesmaid dress styles and learned that the store was closing and all dresses were 60% off. Of course I had to try some on even though the store was going to close a half hour after I got there.
I grab a half dozen or so and zipped into and out of them quickly without my mom, bestfriend, sister, or even to-be-mother-in-law. As I put on the last one I had picked up, I looked in the mirror and said, "This is it."
I went out to the big mirror and grabbed the first veil I saw. It was magical. An almost perfect fit, needing the shoulders shortened and a 5 inch hem. Off white pure silk, the sleeveless bodice was emboidered and beaded with pearls and silver beads. The scoop neckline and back are echoed in the waistline, dropping down into a full skirt with a 3 foot train. Oh, words don't do it justice. But believe me that the gown was worth $1000. Guess what I paid! The dress was marked down to $150, then to $99. AND THAT WAS WITHOUT THE 60% DISCOUNT! I paid $35.95 plus tax for my dress. The veil, the first one I picked up, cost more than the dress! I figured even if I didn't wear it I could sell it on eBay for more. I really think God wants me to marry Brian.

Oh Meg that is so wonderful! The dress sounds beautiful. I had something similar happen with me and my wedding dress. Only the store was just opening and part of their grand opening was they were raffling away a wedding dress and I won it! I could pick any dress in the store so I too got like a $1000 dress for free!
