New Developments
Well, Little Anne has an announcement - she's going to be a big sister! Brian and I found out that we were pregnant late in February. We were a "little" surprised, but we knew what chances we had taken, and yes, we do know where babies come from (which we have already been asked). I am due late October when Anne will be 14 months old. Our babies will be very close siblings - about which I am actually very excited. It means more work for me, seeing as how Anne won't be able to walk much. Over the last few weeks I have been thinking about how it will be to visit the library, grocery shop, drive to my parents - well, basically do anything.
The other big development is that Little Anne has started to crawl, said her first word, and did her first sign. She has been crawling for at least two weeks or so - my little girl is an explorer. She loves the stereo, VCR, fireplace and anything else that she can't touch. Her first word has been Momma - she says it as she screams for help or in pain. She signed "nummies" (i.e. nurse) using the ASL (American Sign Language) sign for milk - which is moving your hand like you're milking a cow. She did it using both hands together and didn't really look like milking but she knew what she was doing. Brian was showing her and she was intently watching his hands when she did it. I have been signing it to her before we would nurse and I know that she knew what it meant because I would sign before we even sat down and she would lunge for my front.
