Sewing projects

My Jane Austen Club met again, of which I am unofficial President. My mom and my sisters, Maria's mom and her sisters make up the club. We cut out the fabric for the dresses for Teresa and Crista while watching Sense and Sensiblity starring Emma Thompson and Kate Winslett. Three out of six are making dresses to wear to a high tea party to be held in the spring.

In addition to my dress, I will be wearing the following Regency period clothing:
- ballet slippers
- knee high socks (the closest to stockings I could find)
- pantaloons (which I made)
- a corset
- maybe my petticoat (which I made)
- my fabulous green striped dress OR my beautious roses and leaves day dress (both of which I made)
- my silk bonnet or a sunbonnet (both of which I made - just wait until you see shots of the bonnet. Everyone I show it to asks what I made it out of and how. "Buckram and carefully" I answer.)

I am still finishing the pantaloons, dresses, and the sunbonnet. Four concurrent projects. I love not being in college classes anymore.
