Ready for boring!

I'm ready for some boring regular life. What I mean is life without intense change. By the start of November this year, I will have gotten married and had two babies in two years. Not that life will be boring with a still new husband and two babies under two, but still.

Brian and I have now reroofed and resided our house, consulted with 4 real estate agents about moving, had house guests for a week and a half (who helped with the house), and dealt with strange pregnancy side effects. We had put off fixing the house for a year from when it was damaged by hail in April 2006 and have just now gotten through working through the insurance claim and all that fun stuff.

Brian and I were talking seriously about moving this summer or next. Brian has a 45 minute commute which eats gas and means he doesn't get home until close to 7 most nights. Being at home alone for nearly twelve hours a day with two tiny people who can't talk and need constant diaper changes means that reducing it to 10 hours or so would be GREAT! Plus, Brian could then change that many more diapers! I get out and do things, but I know that I'm going to go stir crazy this winter. I'm going to have to get some help or at least some friends to hang out with.

Find a Mothers of Pre Schoolers group at your church, or start one. I loved the one I belonged to when my kids were little. It really saved my sanity to have adult conversation occasionally, and the kids had someone to play with besides their siblings.
