Garden State
Garden State
Alisa Beth was right. This movie is great. You never know what is going to happen next; it's unbelievable, yet incredibly down to earth and so touching. Very strong in parts -- plenty, plenty of drugs, some sex -- but the message of living life for what it is shines through. Even if it hurts. I think the film really speaks to true life, even if not a pure life. Not a chick flick, but not a "guy film." I think it defies categorization beyond original.
If you are in the habit of seeing movies, this is not one to miss. I rarely buy soundtracks or DVDs, but this movie measures up on both counts. That is, when I actually have money to spend on CDs and movies.
P.S. I've been vamping up my template. Ok, I need your advice. Is the sidebar too crowded? If so, what should go? (I have a sneaking suspicion that I am going to get rid of Winnie the Pooh and the Gryffindor sorted badges.)

I like it but I only wish I could figure out exactly how you get that stuff to go in your sidebar! I have tried but I can't do anything but put stuff in my posts! I have such illiteracy issues when it comes to computers, especially html!
Hi Meg, I saw your post to a few of my blogs and had to stop by and return the favor!
I read a bit of your profile and you and I are both Hitchcock fans! Nice!
Cool little mood dude on the sidebar there. Very clever.
